Wednesday, November 4th, high school students from Seoul American High School visited our school to present their anti-smoking message entitled "Tar Wars". After a short presentation in the library, our fifth graders broke up into small groups to travel to the five stations set up to explain various aspects of the presentation. Included were a lot of hands-on activities that illustrated the deleterious effects of smoking on a person's general health. Hopefully, this two hour long activity will help keep our kids free of this little addiction. Currently, studies show that 5% of fifth graders in the US are smoking. What a shame.
